Mystery Remains of Who Had Fingers on Keyboard in JPMorgan Hack

A key figure is missing in the court documents outlining the biggest computer attack ever of the U.S. financial system: the actual hacker. The Israeli mastermind of the crime syndicate with global operations — computer servers in Egypt, online casinos in Ukraine and Hungary, Azerbaijan payment processors and a Florida bitcoin exchange — created a digital mob without a true home country, according to prosecutors. So when the gang needed a hired gun, in this case a sophisticated computer thief, it apparently turned to a harbor known for some of the best. The hacker, identified only as co-conspirator 1 in a sweeping indictment unsealed on Tuesday, is actually a Russian master of digital break-ins known to federal agents and U.S. spy agencies who have tracked him for years, according to three people familiar with the investigation. Another indictment unsealed this week about the gang provides a little more, citing “a computer hacker who is believed to have resided in Russia” — one who infiltrated computer networks, located customer databases and exported the profile information to computers overseas. Teen parent rate drops in Unified, but work remains

RACINE — Emilee Lockhart was voted the “most changed” person in Park High School’s class of 2013.

And it wasn’t only because she was seven months pregnant at graduation.

In that, she was among hundreds of students in the Racine Unified School District who face the prospect of becoming parents before senior prom.

While the reported number of pregnant or parenting Unified students has gone down in recent years, leaders of local organizations say teen pregnancy is a continuing issue with no simple solution.

Fewer pregnant students

The total number of Unified students who are parents has been dropping slowly, from 210 in 2010-11 to 177 in 2014-15.
