Romania accused Israelis for threatening and hacking official’s email

Romania issued a warrant for the arrest of a Belgian Jew whom they said had spied with Israelis on an anti-fraud official for a firm once headed by an ex-Mossad chief. Justice Ministry prosecutors in Bucharest this week signed the warrant for the arrest of David Geclowicz, according to a report published Tuesday on the blog Rise Project. The warrant said Geclowicz had illegally spied on Laura Kovesi Codruţa, a prosecutor of Romania’s National Anti-Corruption Directorate. Geclowicz, according to the warrant, worked for Black Cube, an Israeli firm founded in 2010 whose honorary chair was Meir Dagan, the one-time director of Israel’s spy agency who died last month. Geclowicz, 24, has been arrested along with another employee, Ron Weiner, according to Rise Project. In a statement Wednesday, Black Cube confirmed their arrest but denied any wrongdoing, saying their actions were commissioned by elements associated with the government to investigate corruption. ”In recent weeks the company has been carrying out a project on behalf of government associates in Romania to collect proof of serious corruption in the Romanian government system. Woman Arrested After Threatening to Shoot Up Lakeside School

A woman’s alleged threat to carry out a shooting at an unspecified Lakeside school Thursday prompted authorities to lock children in their classrooms at three campuses in the East County town while investigators tracked down and arrested the suspected perpetrator.

The menacing statements were reported shortly after noon, according to sheriff’s officials.

Administrators instituted lockdowns at Lindo Park elementary, Tierra del Sol middle and El Capitan high schools while deputies searched for the suspect, identified as 26-year-old Sarah Joy Lomaintewa, Lt. George Calderon said.

Within 90 minutes, the security measures were lifted, and students were being bused to a nearby commercial parking lot for pickup by their parents.

Puyallup’s Rogers High School to increase security Friday after threatening message found

PUYALLUP — The Puyallup School District said Thursday that there would be extra security at Rogers High School on Friday after a threatening message was found written on a bathroom wall at the school.

“Late Thursday afternoon a message written on a bathroom wall at Rogers High School was discovered and brought to the attention of administration,” the district said on its web page.

“The message is threatening in nature, against Rogers High School in general,” it added. “Pierce County Sheriff’s Department has been investigating the situation, and they believe that school will be safe for staff and students to attend tomorrow, Friday, February 27.
