BMX riders share anti-bullying message at Rancho Bernardo High School

Raancho Bernardo High’s students were taught an anti-bullying lesson while watching professional BMX riders perform stunts in the school’s gym.

The ASA High School Tour assembly — presented twice on Friday to accommodate all students — was sponsored by the U.S. Marine Corps, the Anti-Defamation League and ASA Entertainment.

The tour is a high-energy action sports circuit that goes across the country to support the Anti-Defamation League’s No Place for Hate campaign and the campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids, according to its website, asahighschooltour.com. It features some of the world’s top professional skateboarders, inline skaters and BMX riders from the X Games who perform while an educational message is presented “in a fun, positive and interactive fashion.

Former Major Leaguers Help Erlanger-Elsmere Schools with Anti-Bullying Project

A pair of former Major League Baseball players will be helping a local school district with a project.
Sean Casey, a former Cincinnati Reds first baseman, and Tim Flannery, who played for the San Diego Padres, have been teamed up through The Love Harder Project to support bullying prevention at Erlanger-Elsmere Schools.
They’ll be working on the Buddy Bench Project.
The Erlanger-Elsmere School District stated in a news release that the Buddy Benches will support its bullying prevention systems already in place.

“Through the positive preventative programming and bullying prevention work we do in our schools, our students collaborate daily and demonstrate appreciation and respect for one another,” said Dr.

Byram Middle School presents Anti-Bullying Awareness Day

Community partners joined first-time Principal Ben Lundy of Byram Middle School to rally against bullying during it’s Anti-Bullying Awareness Day, February 9. During three different sessions from 10:30 a.m. – 3:40 p.m. the anti-bullying team raised the level of consciousness of boys in grades 6-8.

The occasion’s theme was Stop Bullying – Together We Can Be Bully Free. Juan Cloy, Mississippi project director of Fight Crime: Invest in Kids, said social networks are ideal tools for various kinds of bullying. He discussed the social networks which included cyber bullying, digital fingerprints, and cyber stalking.

Cloy mentioned that many children become victims because messages are sent to intimidate or threaten them.
