Football Team Gives Cheerleader With Cancer A Colorful Surprise

When the Friday night lights go on for high school football games, fans and athletes alike don their school colors to show support for their team.

But during last week’s game for a high school in Palo Cedro, California, another color was on everyone’s mind: orange.

As the Foothill High School football team poured onto the field before last Friday’s game, each player placed a single orange rose at the feet of cheerleader Ashley Adamietz, a high school senior who was diagnosed with chronic myeloid leukemia just last month, according to CNN.

Teen, 2 adults busted for drugs at Friday Night Football Game

A juvenile and two adults are facing drug charges after a bust at a Friday night football game.

According to Detective Aaron Herring with Whiteville Police Vice Narcotics Unit, officials made a drug bust at a football game at Legion Stadium in Whiteville.

Herring said an officer noted a 14-year-old boy was noticeably impaired leaving the stadium. The boy then got into a car and was seen rolling a marijuana cigarette.

Herring said two adults–Russ Bellamy, 34, and Amanda May, 32, came to the car.

Officers then searched the car and found a purse in the trunk with 2 grams of heroin. Officials also found 2.
