Nearly a year after filming Dating Around, Brandon Bordelon seems to have moved on from the connections he made on the show. Although he certainly hit it off with both Ronald and Justin, he doesn’t currently follow either of them on Instagram (though Justin follows him), and he wrote a Facebook status on Valentine’s Day about “catching feelings” for someone new.

“Catching flights and feelings this year!!! I’ll take an exit row seat over roses any day!!! #happyvalentinesday,” he posted on Feb. 14, announcing a flight to Los Cabos, Mexico. He didn’t tag anyone in the status, but later shared a snuggly Instagram picture with an untagged man using the hashtag #boyfriends. “Setting sail to this adventure,” the caption read.

Obviously, it’s been a few months since that picture was posted and things could be different now. His official Facebook relationship status is currently set to single (if that still means anything) and his most recent Instagram photos have been solo selfies. As far as his job goes, he’s still a teacher in New Orleans at FirstLine Schools, per Facebook. “Teaching the youth of about life lessons and how to tie their shoes,” his Instagram bio says. “But most importantly what makes them unique and special. Love yourself!”

Since quarantine hit, he hasn’t been super active on social media, but he did promote his reality TV debut. “Check me out on June 12 on @netflix,” he captioned a post sharing the Dating Around trailer. “You might be surprised by a few of my dates. If you know me you already know it won’t be anything short of entertainment.”

#cybersecurity | #hackerspace | Single Sign-On Solutions for Education

Source: National Cyber Security – Produced By Gregory Evans

By Megan Anderson Posted December 14, 2019

The IT staff at educational institutions see the need for implementing cutting-edge technologies, but work on a razor-thin budget. Paradoxically, that often means that the identity and access management (IAM) infrastructure at schools and universities exists somewhere between innovative and outdated.

For instance, educational institutions would ideally be able to grant their users — both students and staff — one identity per person. This identity would work campus-wide, as well as for any third-party solutions the institution requires.

However, most single sign-on (SSO) solutions are outside the budget. As such, IT admins of educational institutions usually settle on less-than-ideal arrangements to compensate. The options for schools might seem limited, but let’s evaluate the solutions.

Single Sign-On Compromises

When it comes to identity and access management (IAM), many educational institutions are stuck in one of three less-than-desirable scenarios:

  1. Relying completely on a legacy system such as Microsoft® Active Directory® (AD) or OpenLDAP
  2. Relying on G SuiteTM or Office 365TM as their sole identity provider (IdP)
  3. Effectively going unmanaged — users simply log in to each IT resource separately

Unfortunately, each of these approaches comes with its own challenges.

The Cost of Active Directory and OpenLDAP

Both AD and OpenLDAP require dedicated servers on-prem, which need to be maintained. Any IT admin responsible for these servers knows how pricey they can be. Plus, in order to run AD, you need to renew the Windows® license. Additionally, if you haven’t upgraded your AD server since 2008, you’re going to need to buy a new one.

Moreover, AD does not extend its identities to non-Windows cloud applications. This forces users to have multiple credentials that need to be managed separately, leading to inefficiencies in workflow for both the end user and the IT department. Also, if staff are able to bring in their own devices, there’s no guarantee they will all be Windows machines, meaning that those with Mac® or Linux® machines will require many workarounds to manage.

This is especially important to note as Mac machines (Read more…)

Single Mother Says She Was Arrested for Homeschooling Her Children

Single mother Kiarre Harris said she pulled her children out of public school last December, after fulfilling the requirements of New York State law. But in mid-January, she was arrested without hearing charges or being read her rights.

“Basically, I’m charged with neglect because my children are not attending a school that they’re not enrolled in,” Harris said in a Facebook video she posted on January 18. She mentioned an upcoming appearance in criminal court, where “I’m being charged as a criminal for contempt of the court for obstructing an order to have my children illegally kidnapped from me.”

It’s no wonder that Harris described the New York State authorities as “terrorists.

Single Woman Seeking Manwich

I almost gave up on dating when a sandwich rejected me. I got a message on OkCupid that said, “What’s shaking bacon?” and the only profile pictures were of actual sandwiches. Delicious-looking sandwiches, but sandwiches nonetheless. Since I was feeling hungry and lonely, I decided to reply. A lot of bready puns ensued — the bacon, egg and cheese sandwich told me he “kneaded” me, and I told him I hoped I could rise to the occasion. Read More….
